Our testing has shown that the Sand Art Creations product may contain trace levels of asbestos. The overall risk is considered low, but because asbestos should not be present in any amount, Addo Play Ltd is issuing a recall notice for this product.
This product was sold through various retailers, including Junior’s Toy Shops and online websites, between January 2025 and February 2026.
We are advising customers to stop using this product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children. Follow the instructions below for details on the disposal of this product and obtaining a refund.
What you need to do:
- Check the item code – 318-19149-B – on the product label or packaging close to the barcode.
- If it is the product detailed above, stop using it immediately.
- If the sand is still in its packaging, place it in a heavy-duty plastic bag and double-tape it securely.
- If the sand has been used, clean up the sites where the product was used with wet cloths to avoid generating dust. Wear gloves and a mask. Double-bag the sand in a heavy-duty plastic bag, double-tape it securely, along with the gloves, mask and cloths.
- Keep people away from areas where the sand has been used until the area has been cleaned.
- Dispose of the product in your general household waste.
- Contact the retailer you purchased the item from for a full refund.
