Our testing has shown that these ORB Funkee™ sand filled toys may contain trace levels of asbestos. The overall risk is considered low, but because asbestos should not be present in any amount, The Entertainer is issuing a recall notice for these toys.
This product was sold through various retailers, including Junior’s Toy Shops and online websites, between January 2025 and February 2026.
What you need to do:
- Check the item code on the product, as shown:
- If it is one of the products listed above, stop using it immediately.
- If the toy is undamaged, place it in a heavy-duty plastic bag and double-tape it securely.
- If the toy is damaged and the sand inside is accessible, gather the sand using wet cloths to avoid generating dust. Wear gloves and a mask. Double-bag the sand and toy in a heavy-duty plastic bag, double-tape it securely, along with the gloves, mask and cloths.
- Keep people away from areas where any sand has been spilt until the area has been cleaned.
- Dispose of the sealed bag containing the toy and materials in your general household waste.
- Contact the retailer you purchased the item from for a full refund.
